The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has confirmed that starting August 1, 2025, all applications for the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC) will be processed only through a newly launched online portal. This move signals the end of manual submissions as the agency transitions to a fully digital platform.
The announcement was made on Wednesday in Abuja via a statement signed by ACI Akinlabi, the Service’s Public Relations Officer. According to the NIS, the decision is aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and the overall experience of users interacting with Nigeria’s immigration system.
Applicants are expected to use the new portal at https://ift.tt/b4V0Npn for all CERPAC-related processes, as physical forms will no longer be accepted after July 31, 2025. The agency advised those who have already paid for paper applications but have not submitted them to do so before the deadline or risk forfeiting their payments and application status.
Companies and individuals handling expatriate documentation are urged to complete any outstanding submissions within the remaining window. The NIS made it clear that unsubmitted applications after the cut-off date will be considered invalid.
Further inquiries, the agency said, should be directed to the office of the Public Relations Officer.
This digital migration is part of the Federal Government’s wider push to modernize public services and reduce delays caused by traditional, paper-based procedures.
