Abia Central APC Endorses President Tinubu for 2027 Re-election

Abia Central APC’s Renewed Hope Partners endorses President Tinubu for 2027, praising his leadership and major achievements for Nigeria’s progress.

A key group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia Central Senatorial District has publicly backed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 presidential election, just two years after his first term began. The endorsement came from Renewed Hope Partners (RHP), an APC faction, during a meeting that also welcomed defectors from opposition parties including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

In a statement released after the meeting, RHP leaders Pastor Pat Ikechi and Dr. Larry Isaac highlighted President Tinubu’s accomplishments. These include boosting states’ revenue allocations, unifying the foreign exchange rate, repaying a $3.4 billion loan from the International Monetary Fund, and advancing major infrastructure projects such as the Lagos-Calabar coastal road and Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway. The group also praised the president’s tax reforms, the introduction of a Students Loan Scheme, and a salary increase of over 100% for workers, calling these initiatives transformative for the nation.

The statement affirmed the group’s full support, aligning with other APC bodies like the Progressive Governors Forum and the National Assembly leadership in endorsing Tinubu’s bid for re-election to continue his developmental agenda.

The meeting also officially launched the Abia Central chapter of Renewed Hope Partners. Rep. Samuel Ifeanyi Onuigbo, a North East Development Commission board member, officiated the event and commended Tinubu’s leadership. Onuigbo emphasized that Tinubu’s experience has been vital in managing Nigeria’s resources effectively. He urged members to actively promote the president’s achievements across the region, saying, “We shall not fail, we shall not falter, rather we must fly on the wings of the initiatives of President Tinubu and his dream of Renewed Hope for all Nigerians.”
