The Anambra State Government has ordered all public, private, and mission schools to register for the 2024/2025 Annual School Census without delay. The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, issued the directive in a statement released on Saturday in Awka. She warned that any school that refuses to comply will be shut down. Prof. Chuma-Udeh explained that the census exercise has already begun, and a list of defaulting schools has been submitted to her office. According to her, this directive serves as the final warning, and after the exercise, the names of schools that fail to register will be made public. She urged all school heads to log into the Federal Ministry of Education’s portal and complete the registration immediately to avoid sanctions.
