A British-Nigerian woman, Tamilore Odunsi, was tragically killed in her Houston apartment just days before earning her nursing degree. Authorities discovered the 23-year-old’s body inside her apartment after her father’s friend reported being unable to contact her.
Officers found blood on the rear patio and forced entry into the residence, where Tamilore was found in the kitchen with fatal injuries. A male flatmate, who had moved in only weeks earlier, was also found in critical condition from stab wounds in a separate bedroom. The pair were reportedly strangers sharing a two-bedroom apartment.
Tamilore, who went by “Tami Dollars” on TikTok, had a growing online following of 30,000 fans. Her final post, shared three days before her death, showed her smiling in her room, expressing excitement about graduation and the upcoming summer.
Originally from London, Tamilore moved to Houston in 2022 to pursue her dream of nursing. Her family has created a GoFundMe campaign to help with repatriation and funeral expenses, raising over $28,000 so far. Described as a kind, faithful, and ambitious young woman deeply involved in her church, Tamilore’s loss has left her family and friends devastated.
