Boss Mustapha Applauds Salihu’s Call to Bar, Says It Will Impact Nigeria’s Future

Boss Mustapha praises Mustapha Salihu’s call to the Bar, saying his legal and political experience will help reform Nigeria’s justice and governance systems.

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has praised the recent call to the Nigerian Bar of Comrade Mustapha Salihu, describing it as a major step that could influence Nigeria’s future, especially in governance, law reforms, and social justice.

Salihu, who serves as the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Vice Chairman for the North East and chairs the governing boards of both the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), was among the latest batch of legal practitioners sworn in by the Body of Benchers.

In a statement released on Thursday and personally signed by Mustapha, the former SGF described Salihu’s achievement as proof of his strong commitment to personal growth, excellence, and intellectual discipline. He stated that Salihu’s legal qualification, combined with his political experience, makes him well-positioned to tackle Nigeria’s pressing legal and social challenges.

Mustapha said Salihu’s journey shows that education and capacity building are vital in any leadership role and that continuous learning remains important in public service. He noted that Salihu’s ability to complete a law degree while holding key political positions is both admirable and inspirational, particularly to young Nigerians hoping to serve in leadership roles.

Mustapha also prayed for wisdom and strength for Salihu as he begins his legal career, stressing that his new role would boost his ability to influence critical policy and justice reforms. He added that Salihu’s rising influence within the APC and his dual role as a politician and lawyer will strengthen his contributions to national development.

Salihu, who holds the traditional titles of Baraden Jimeta and Sa’in Adamawa, has long been recognized as a key figure in Nigerian politics. His call to the Bar comes at a time when the country faces significant obstacles in its legal and policy systems. Observers believe his expertise in both law and governance could be a valuable asset in shaping meaningful reforms for Nigeria.
