Bruno Fernandes’ Agent Meets Al-Hilal in Riyadh Over £200M Move

Man Utd captain Bruno Fernandes' agent meets with Al-Hilal in Riyadh over a potential £200m transfer offer, including a £700k weekly salary.

Bruno Fernandes’ future at Manchester United is uncertain following a meeting between his agent, Miguel Pinho, and Saudi club Al-Hilal on Thursday night in Riyadh. The face-to-face discussion, held at the Four Seasons hotel, centered around a proposed £200 million deal that could see the United captain leave Old Trafford.

According to sources, Al-Hilal has given Fernandes a final 72-hour deadline to decide. The Saudi Pro League side is reportedly eager to secure the Portuguese midfielder for the upcoming Club World Cup. Negotiations have been ongoing, with Pinho already in contact with Al-Hilal before traveling to Riyadh for in-person talks.

The proposed deal would significantly raise Fernandes’ earnings. His current weekly salary of £280,000 could jump to a tax-free £700,000. The full package, including bonuses, is estimated at around £200 million over three years. If Fernandes agrees, Al-Hilal is ready to issue the paperwork immediately, offering United a transfer fee close to £100 million and a yearly salary for Fernandes worth approximately £65 million.

Despite this, Manchester United has maintained its stance against selling the player. However, the club faces increasing financial pressure, especially after missing out on £100 million in Champions League revenue following their Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.

After the match, Fernandes addressed the speculation, admitting the club may decide to sell him. In his words, “If the club thinks it’s time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in, it is what it is.”
