Calls for Investigation into Misapplication of Federal Constituency Project in Kaduna Schools

The Executive Director of Eagle Brain Youth Transformative and Development Initiative (EBYTDI), Mr. Daniel Ejembi, urges the EFCC, National Assembly, and Kaduna State Government to investigate the execution of a federal constituency project meant to improve public schools in Kaduna.

Mr. Daniel Ejembi, the Executive Director of Eagle Brain Youth Transformative and Development Initiative (EBYTDI), has raised concerns about a federal constituency project that was intended to enhance public schools in Dokan Mai Jama’a, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Ejembi has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the National Assembly, and the Kaduna State Government to investigate the project’s execution, highlighting the possibility of misallocated public funds.

In a statement, Ejembi expressed his worry about the lack of transparency and accountability surrounding the project. He emphasized that the situation poses a significant threat to the welfare of children in the area and urged relevant authorities to ensure proper oversight of initiatives aimed at improving educational facilities.

The project, which was allegedly sponsored by a former lawmaker, appears to have deviated from its intended purpose, according to Ejembi. He pointed out several ongoing issues within the public schools, including overcrowded classrooms, poor sanitation, and insufficient learning materials.

Ejembi called for immediate action from the concerned authorities to review the project and address the challenges facing the schools. He recommended that the schools receive urgent upgrades, including classroom renovations, construction of toilets, perimeter fencing, and the provision of desks, learning materials, and safe water systems.

Additionally, Ejembi urged legal and institutional action if needed, reaffirming his organization’s commitment to advocating for better education standards in underserved communities.
