Nigerian music legend Daddy Showkey has opened up about how Fuji singer Alabi Pasuma supported him and his family during one of the darkest times of his life. During a live performance at a celebrity gathering, Daddy Showkey got emotional as he recalled the kindness Pasuma showed him after he was involved in a serious accident in 2007.
According to him, the accident left him unable to perform or appear in public for three years. While many people distanced themselves and even refused to help when he reached out, Pasuma stepped in without hesitation.
In a video from the event that has since gone viral, Daddy Showkey said Pasuma didn’t just check on him—he looked after his entire family. He described Pasuma as the only person in the music industry who truly stood by him when it mattered most.
He also mentioned that some fellow artists ignored his messages and avoided him when he showed up at their homes. This made Pasuma’s support even more meaningful to him. Daddy Showkey ended the tribute by saying he will never forget Pasuma’s role during those difficult years.
