Delta political analyst, Steven Agadagba, has expressed concern over Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC). Agadagba, a senior strategist of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, disclosed that most Deltans and loyal PDP members are dissatisfied with the governor’s defection.
Speaking in Asaba during a visit to the PDP state secretariat, Agadagba suggested that the governor’s choice was influenced by political uncertainty, personal fear, and self-interest. However, he emphasized that this decision does not represent the views of Delta citizens or PDP loyalists. According to him, the grassroots members and stakeholders remain committed to the PDP, a party they have trusted for governance and development since 1999.
Agadagba called for calm among party members, urging them to stay united and focused. He reassured supporters that the PDP structure in Delta State remains solid despite the governor’s unexpected move.
