A shocking robbery unfolded at the home of Indian Congressman Sandeep Chaudhary on Wednesday, May 14. Two newly hired domestic workers, Kajal and Bharat, along with two unknown accomplices, orchestrated the crime, drugging the family and making off with valuables. The suspects, who had been employed for only 15 days as cooks, served sedative-laced tea to the Congressman’s mother, Krishna (75), and his wife, Mamta (43), early in the morning. Once the women lost consciousness, the suspects called in their accomplices and began looting the house. They stole jewelry, cash, and other valuable items before fleeing.
Chaudhary’s children were in the house at the time, but they were unharmed. The crime was discovered around 7:30 AM when Chaudhary, who had been away, was unable to contact his family. Concerned, he asked his daughter to check on them, and she found both women unconscious. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The police, who are now investigating, have gathered evidence, including CCTV footage, photographs, and identification details of the suspects. It was revealed that the robbery was completed within 45 minutes after the women were drugged. There were signs of a struggle and bloodstains, indicating that one of the women may have resisted when her jewelry was taken.
The couple had previously worked in Gujarat before being hired through a placement agency. The police are continuing their efforts to track down the remaining suspects.
