Facing Criticism as a leader

Criticism is a natural part in leadership. If as a leader you are not criticized then that means something maybe wrong. Sometimes criticism disempowers a person. Being a leader means that

sometimes people are going to gossip about you and criticize your decisions. The criticism might either be over an idea or over you as a human. As a leader do not take any form of criticism to heart. Never you take it personal, instead welcome the opposition as a push to make you think. When you take in any word of criticism, ruminate over it and absorb it then over analyze the comment from every angle. If a criticism makes you feel insecure, then that means you are insecure person and you need to work on it. When you get criticized while leading, pause and think. 

Examine the comment to see if you can learn anything from it. Separate the useful comment from the hurtful ones. Keep the useful comment to contemplate on and fling the hurtful comment over your shoulders. This is

a great leadership strategy. Take what is useful, learn from it and discard the ones that are not useful, do not even pause to ponder on the hurtful ones if you will feel hurt, you may be too hurt to lead. Every leader faces criticism, do not let yours derail you.

 *1) COLOSSIANS 1:11:* "Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness"

Ask the LORD to strengthen your inner man to be able to bear all forms of criticisms, and exercise all kinds of patience with people in your role as

a leader; spouse, parent, boss, etc

 *2) ROMANS 15:31:* "That I may be delivered from them that do not

believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;" Also ask the LORD, to help you render your leadership services in a way that will be acceptable to Him and the people under your leadership..
