Nigerian rapper and human rights activist, Falz, has openly criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his recent comment on the killings in Benue State. The president had shared a statement on X (formerly Twitter), condemning the violence and ordering security agencies to act quickly. “Enough is enough! I have directed the security agencies to act decisively. Our people must live in peace,” Tinubu wrote.
Falz, however, dismissed the message as another empty promise. Quoting the president’s post, he responded: “You have consistently shown that you are incapable of performing the primary duty of securing lives and property of your citizens. This routine statement does not cut it.”
His reaction quickly spread across social media, triggering strong responses. While many Nigerians supported his stance and echoed their own frustrations about the constant bloodshed, others argued that his tone was too harsh.
Falz has been an outspoken critic of poor governance and insecurity in the country. His latest post adds to the growing public demand for more decisive and effective action from leaders.
