Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation, has publicly criticized Nigeria’s opposition parties while declaring the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the most united and focused political party in the country’s history. In a strongly worded social media post, he labeled the opposition as disorganized, weak, and poorly led.
Fani-Kayode accused opposition leaders of placing personal ambitions above national and party interests. He mocked their inability to hold internal meetings without conflict, citing instances of infighting, insults, and even physical altercations. He described their efforts to form alliances as desperate and unrealistic, calling their actions shameful and self-serving.
He also questioned the opposition’s capacity to challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections, referring to them as “clowns” who have lost credibility. According to him, the continuous disarray among rival parties is pushing Nigeria toward a one-party system, not because of APC dominance alone but due to the opposition’s failure to organize and present a viable alternative.
Fani-Kayode ended his remarks by predicting another defeat for opposition parties in 2027, claiming it would mark their final political downfall.
