Gunmen Kidnap FRSC Staff in Jos, Prompting Security Search

Armed men abduct FRSC staff in Jos South. Security forces launch urgent search to rescue her after early morning kidnapping in Rantya community.

Security forces have launched a search-and-rescue mission after armed men kidnapped a female staff member of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Jos South Local Government Area. On the morning of Monday, May 26, 2025, around 5:30 a.m., the kidnappers broke into a home in Rantya community and abducted Mrs. Kate Jonathan Akpabio. Military troops and other security agents quickly responded to a distress call and moved to the scene. Initial investigations revealed the kidnappers had already taken Mrs. Akpabio to an unknown location before security arrived. Efforts to locate and rescue her are ongoing.
