HS Studios Shines as Production Powerhouse Behind Nigerian Idol Season 10

HS Studios powers Nigerian Idol Season 10 with world-class production, setting a new standard for local entertainment and redefining TV in West Africa.

HS Studios has once again proven its strength as a top-tier production hub, playing a crucial role in the success of Nigerian Idol Season 10, which ended on July 13, 2025. This marks the fourth year in a row that the show has been hosted at the state-of-the-art media complex, solidifying the studio’s place at the forefront of Africa’s television production scene.

Under the leadership of President and CEO Taye Ige, HS Studios has grown into the largest television production facility on the West Coast of Africa. Ige, a respected media entrepreneur, created the facility to address a major gap in the industry — the lack of local, world-class infrastructure for producing major reality shows.

He noted that shows like Nigerian Idol, BB Naija, and The Voice Naija were once produced abroad, even though they were funded by Nigerian companies. HS Studios was developed to eliminate this need and provide a complete solution within the country.

Although the actual production of Nigerian Idol is handled by an external company, HS Studios provides the high-tech facilities that make the show possible. The complex features five advanced studios — the largest measuring 900 square meters — along with contestant lodgings, dressing rooms, VIP and judges’ suites, and a 250-seat cafeteria for live audiences. This comprehensive setup makes the studio an essential part of the show’s execution.

Ige believes it is this all-in-one approach that makes HS Studios unique. Everything needed for a high-level production is available in one location, making operations smoother and the final output more polished.

With the latest season of Nigerian Idol completed and more high-profile productions on the horizon, HS Studios is poised to keep driving innovation and excellence in Nigerian entertainment. Taye Ige and his team remain committed to developing the industry from within, helping the country become a true powerhouse in global television production.
