Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, is reportedly dealing with ongoing health challenges linked to a kidney condition. According to SaharaReporters, Egbetokun previously had a kidney transplant during his time as a Chief Superintendent of Police and has been functioning with one kidney ever since. Sources claim the strain of his current responsibilities is affecting his health, making it difficult to maintain a regular work schedule. Reports say he limits his time at the Force Headquarters, often arriving after midday and returning home early. Most of his work is said to be done at night from his residence, which has reportedly been set up with a temporary medical facility. In March, SaharaReporters also noted that Egbetokun had considered attending a security conference in the UK, a move that would have also provided an opportunity to access medical care.
