Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called on residents of Tehran to leave the city as military action intensifies. Speaking at an Israeli airbase on Monday, he said the country is moving forward with two goals: destroying Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities. Netanyahu stated that if Israel secures control of Tehran’s airspace, key regime targets would be hit.
He accused Iran of launching attacks on civilians in Israel and declared, “We say to the citizens of Tehran: Get out of the area, and we will take action.”
His remarks came shortly after the Israeli army issued an urgent warning, advising people living in a 30-square-kilometre area of Tehran to evacuate immediately. The district includes foreign embassies, luxury homes, shopping centres, and around 300,000 people.
Residents reported hearing explosions in the western part of the city, while media outlets mentioned airstrikes in the east.
Israel has previously made similar evacuation warnings during its military operations in Gaza, often sparking international debate about the humanitarian impact of such messages.
