The Nigerian Army neutralized at least 60 terrorists in a major offensive in northern Nigeria, the Army Headquarters confirmed on Friday, May 30. The troops, part of Operation Hadin Kai, carried out a coordinated land and air assault on terrorist camps in Bita, Borno State, in the early hours of the day. The intense battle ended with the deaths of many insurgents.
This success follows a similar operation earlier in the week, where soldiers killed dozens of Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters in New Marte, Marte local government area of Borno State. Sadly, two soldiers lost their lives during these encounters.
The military remains committed to securing the region and eliminating threats from terrorist groups.
