Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has emphasized the Ojude Oba Festival’s vital role in driving the local economy and raising global awareness. At the 2025 edition held in Ijebu-Ode, he highlighted the festival as a key part of his administration’s development plan, Building Our Future Together. According to Abiodun, Ojude Oba not only preserves cultural heritage but also promotes economic growth and international recognition. He described the festival as a symbol of unity where tradition, religion, and modern life come together, calling it a living heritage that strengthens community ties in a changing world. The governor urged efforts to expand the festival’s reach, noting its rising appeal among young people locally and abroad. He also praised the event’s growing impact on tourism, youth involvement, and entrepreneurship, promising ongoing support to enhance its influence. Ondo State’s Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, through his deputy, praised Ojude Oba for creating jobs and attracting investment. Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Hanatu Musa, highlighted the country’s rich cultural diversity and the federal government’s collaboration with states to promote cultural assets for national growth. She expressed hope that Ojude Oba would grow into a major attraction for international visitors.
