Pastor Lazarus Muoka Urges Nigerians to Seek God as Easter Retreat Nears

With the Easter retreat set for April 19 to 20, Pastor Lazarus Muoka calls on Nigerians to return to God in the face of economic and global turmoil. Discover what he says about hope, peace, and divine intervention.

Pastor Lazarus Muoka, the General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry, has urged Nigerians to turn back to God and ask for His mercy as the country and the world face growing challenges. He made this passionate appeal ahead of the church’s two-day Easter retreat themed God’s Covenant of Peace and Blessing, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 19 and 20, at the Chosen Revival Ground in Ijesha, Lagos.

In a statement issued by the church’s Director of Public Relations, Pastor Louis Chidi, Pastor Muoka expressed deep concern over the nation’s current condition but insisted that there is still hope. He explained that Nigeria’s transformation is possible if the people genuinely repent and commit to living righteously. According to him, the Easter retreat is designed to remind people of the significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which symbolizes not only His triumph over death but also humanity’s victory over despair and hopelessness.

He emphasized that Christ’s death and resurrection restored God’s original covenant of peace and blessing with mankind, offering everyone a renewed chance to experience divine transformation. Pastor Muoka said the Easter message carries a strong reminder that faith in God can overcome any crisis, no matter how impossible it may seem. Using the resurrection as an example, he encouraged the public to believe that if Christ could conquer death, then no problem is beyond resolution.

The pastor called on every individual, especially Nigerians, to take the Easter season seriously by drawing closer to God, turning away from evil, and sincerely asking for His mercy. He warned that while God has freely offered peace through Jesus Christ, ignoring that offer could come with a heavy price. He assured the public that during the retreat, the presence and power of the Holy Spirit will bring healing and deliverance to all attendees, lifting burdens and restoring God’s covenant of peace not only in their lives but across the entire nation.

He concluded by expressing confidence that as people return to God with open hearts, the country will witness peace again and humanity will rejoice.
