Hajiya Jamila Muhammad, a pilgrim from Plateau State, has died in Makkah following health complications linked to diabetes. The Executive Secretary of the Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr Daiyabu Dauda, confirmed her passing in an official statement released to journalists in Jos on Tuesday.
According to the statement, she became critically ill and was taken to King Abdul’aziz Hospital in Makkah for medical treatment. Despite the immediate response and efforts by the medical team, she passed away on Monday. The hospital confirmed that the cause of death was complications from diabetes.
Her remains have been buried in Makkah in line with Islamic burial traditions. Mr Dauda expressed sympathy to her family and encouraged them to find comfort in faith during this difficult time.
