Well-known blogger KAA has reported the rescue of his younger sister after she was kidnapped on Saturday afternoon while preparing to return to school. The kidnappers contacted the family and demanded a ransom of ₦2 million.
Instead of paying immediately, KAA and his brother launched their own search. They successfully traced the suspects, identifying a phone number used by the group: +234 907 995 697. During the process, they linked one of the kidnappers to a furniture shop called Johnbech Furniture.
They also found the Facebook account of one of the suspects, uncovered the location where the girl was held, and obtained bank details linked to the operation. One suspect had a Fidelity Bank account under the name Awoke Chiedozie John, with account number 632355179.
With this evidence, the police were alerted. Earlier today, one of the suspects was arrested and taken to the Ebonyi State Police Headquarters. The kidnapped girl was rescued safely.
KAA confirmed that his sister is now home. Police investigations are still ongoing to determine if the group acted alone or were working under orders.
