Terrifying Ride Malfunction in Saudi Arabia Injures 23 at Popular Park

A ride at Green Mountain Park in Saudi Arabia broke mid-air, injuring 23 people, including three critically. Video shows passengers screaming as it collapsed.

A shocking amusement park accident in Taif, Saudi Arabia, has left 23 people injured, with three in critical condition, after a ride malfunctioned and collapsed while in motion. The incident occurred on Wednesday at Green Mountain Park, where a ride labeled “360 degrees” suddenly broke apart mid-air.

A viral video of the scene shows the attraction swinging high before its spinning arm, carrying seated passengers, snapped off its frame. Screams erupted as the riders were violently thrown to the ground. Witnesses reported that despite passengers being securely strapped into their seats, the sudden collapse and rapid recoil of the ride’s central pole caused serious injuries.

Emergency responders provided immediate first aid before transporting the injured to a nearby hospital. Authorities have since shut down the ride and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the mechanical failure.

This incident follows several similar ride malfunctions around the world. In the U.S., Cedar Point’s “Siren’s Curse” ride in Ohio has suffered multiple breakdowns, leaving riders suspended in the air. Last year in Ecuador, two gondola cars fell from a ride at a traveling fairground, injuring ten people.

Green Mountain Park remains under scrutiny as officials continue their probe into the dangerous malfunction.
