Three members of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry were kidnapped on Monday evening in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State. They were reportedly taken while returning from a Bible study session held at Kasemola, a community within the Ogbese area of the council.
A message shared on the church’s WhatsApp group revealed that the victims had just finished their study when the abduction occurred. The message also called for collective prayers, asking members to join in seeking divine intervention for the safe return of those taken.
The incident has been reported to both the Ondo State Police Command and the Amotekun Corps. Security officers have launched a search operation in the surrounding bushes and are working closely with local residents to trace the kidnappers and rescue the victims.
While confirming the development, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Olushola Ayanlade, stated that efforts were ongoing. He mentioned that the police are actively tracking the suspects but could not yet confirm the exact number of victims involved.
The affected church and community remain hopeful as security forces continue their rescue mission.
