A three-storey building under construction collapsed in Lagos, Nigeria, on Monday at approximately 1:00 p.m. The incident occurred at 3 Craig Street, off Apata Road in the Shomolu area. No deaths or injuries were reported, as construction workers and nearby churchgoers escaped unharmed. The collapsed structure partially damaged the adjacent Redeemed Christian Church of Christ (RCCG) Liberty Parish, but all worshippers inside were unharmed. Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), confirmed the collapse happened during the decking process. Preliminary investigations found no victims trapped under the debris. Authorities have cordoned off the construction site for safety and further inspection.
