Khaby Lame, the world’s most-followed TikTok creator, has been deported from the United States after overstaying his visa. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed that the 25-year-old Italian-Senegalese influencer was detained last Friday at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
According to ICE, Lame entered the U.S. on April 30 and remained beyond the allowed period. He had gained massive popularity for his silent reactions to exaggerated life hacks and built a following of over 160 million users on TikTok. His rise to fame opened doors to major brand deals, a Hollywood appearance, and a reality TV show titled Khaby Is Coming To America, which aired on Tubi.
His removal has stirred reactions online. Some users defended the creator, while others supported the decision. Among the voices was Bo Loudon, a self-identified Gen Z Trump supporter and conservative commentator, who took credit for the deportation. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Loudon claimed he worked with authorities after accusing Lame of being in the country illegally and evading taxes.
Lame has yet to comment publicly. However, on Monday, he posted an Instagram Story from São Paulo, Brazil, marking his first confirmed location since the incident.
His former lawyer, Riccardo Lanzo, told The New York Times that although Lame had spent significant time in the U.S., there was uncertainty about the exact terms of his visa.
