President Bola Tinubu urged Nigerians to pray earnestly for the military and security forces protecting the country from terrorism and banditry. Speaking after Eid-al-Adha prayers at Dodan Barracks in Lagos, the President highlighted the sacrifices of troops and stressed the need for citizens to support vulnerable communities during the festive season. Tinubu called on everyone to act as their brother’s keeper by showing love, unity, and generosity to neighbors.
He emphasized that the nation’s challenges require collective effort and strong prayer for those on the frontlines. The Chief Imam of Lagos, Suleiman Oluwatoyin Abu-Nola, reminded worshippers that the spirit of Eid centers on sacrifice and urged Nigerians to rise above ethnic divisions for national progress. Several government officials, security chiefs, and prominent business leaders joined the prayers, reinforcing a message of peace and solidarity.
