The Nigeria Police Command in Anambra has confirmed that President Bola Tinubu’s recent official visit to the state demonstrates its safety. In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police (CP), Ikioye Orutugu, it was highlighted that the seamless visit showcased Anambra’s secure environment.
During the visit, President Tinubu inaugurated key state infrastructure, including the Anambra State Government House, the Solution Fun City, and the Governor’s and Presidential lodges. He also launched the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy Centre at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka.
CP Orutugu expressed gratitude to the people of Anambra for their support toward security agencies, both before and during the visit. He emphasised that the successful hosting of the president further affirms the state’s safety for both residents and visitors.
The CP stressed the importance of security collaboration and coordination in maintaining safety, recognizing the contributions of police personnel and other security forces in effectively managing security efforts in the region.
