The Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University, Professor Clement Adebooye, has assured new students that the institution is committed to delivering high-quality education by investing heavily in its lecturers and learning facilities. Addressing matriculating students of the part-time degree programme for the 2025/2026 academic session, he emphasized that the university values both full-time and part-time learners equally.
Professor Adebooye explained that to maintain high teaching standards, the university has recently hired more qualified lecturers and raised the salaries of academic facilitators. According to him, quality education starts with quality teaching, and the university is putting resources into ensuring that students receive the best support possible.
He added that modern instructional tools, including a Riso printing machine and other advanced administrative facilities, have been installed to enhance the learning environment at the Centre for Part-Time Studies.
Reinforcing the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and character development, the Vice-Chancellor also reminded students of the need for discipline and integrity. He warned against social vices such as cultism, examination malpractice, indecent dressing, and any behavior that could damage the university’s reputation.
Professor Adebooye encouraged students to stay focused, attend lectures consistently, make full use of library and digital resources, and foster relationships that contribute to their academic and personal growth. He concluded by assuring them that while the road ahead may be challenging, it promises to be fulfilling with the right mindset and dedication.
