Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has expressed strong confidence in the future of Nigerian children, describing it as full of promise and potential. In a statement signed personally by the governor to mark the 2025 Children’s Day celebration in Owerri, he emphasized that steps had already been taken to lay a solid foundation for their future.
According to Uzodimma, both President Bola Tinubu and the country’s governors are working together to build a Nigeria where children can grow up in peace and prosperity. He encouraged young people to stay hopeful, reminding them that difficult economic conditions are temporary and not a reason to give up.
The governor highlighted ongoing reforms aimed at boosting Nigeria’s development, especially through improved infrastructure such as roads, schools, and hospitals. He also noted that his administration in Imo State is focusing on healthcare and education, two areas he described as essential for helping children learn and grow.
Uzodimma advised children to stay focused on their studies, learn useful skills, and avoid harmful influences like cultism and theft. He urged them to work hard, respect their parents, and show appreciation for the sacrifices made on their behalf.
