A women’s socio-political group has praised President Bola Tinubu’s focus on human capital and infrastructure development, declaring he deserves a second term to complete his vision. Speaking at the inauguration of the FOOG Women Support Group for Asiwaju in Warri, Delta State, Chief Mrs. Esther Okotie-Eboh, the group’s facilitator and Iye of Warri kingdom, said the group aims to promote good leadership, governance, and sustainable development. She noted the group recognizes these qualities in the current federal government under President Tinubu.
Chief Mrs. Okotie-Eboh emphasized that FOOG supports President Tinubu’s efforts to build a transparent, resilient, and investment-friendly society and is committed to ensuring his continuation in office. The group also applauded the establishment of regional development commissions aimed at fostering equitable growth and economic revival in local communities.
The women expressed satisfaction with the government’s achievements over the past two years, highlighting key initiatives such as the presidential loan and grant scheme benefiting over 900,000 people, the student loan program already aiding over 300 students, and implementing a N70,000 minimum wage. They also cited impressive economic indicators, including attracting over $50 billion in foreign direct investments, increasing foreign exchange reserves from $3.99 billion in 2023 to $23.11 billion in 2024, unlocking over $8 billion in new oil and gas investments, passing four landmark tax bills, launching five regional development commissions, and securing over $800 million in solid minerals processing investments.
Mrs. Tina Otumara and Mrs. Caroline Smith Eyewuoma voiced strong support for Tinubu’s re-election campaign at the event. The women concluded by chanting their slogan, “Continuity pays,” and pledged to mobilize support across communities for Tinubu’s bid in 2027.
