Former Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Adeniji Kazeem, has been chosen as the new President of the Ansar-ud-Deen Society worldwide. His emergence was by consensus on Sunday evening, following the end of AbdulRafiu Sani’s tenure, who served two terms of three years each.
Joining Kazeem in the leadership team is Dr. Ibrahim Yusuf, who now holds the position of Deputy President. Yusuf previously served as National Commissioner overseeing Policy, Personnel, Management, and Finance at the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). Also elected is former President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Najeem Yasin, now Vice President representing the North.
Other executive members include Nurudeen Okunleye as Vice President for Lagos State, Jimoh Popoola for Ogun State, retired Justice Moshood Ajeigbe for Osun State, Tesleem Adediran for Oyo State, Sulaiman Ogunlayi for Ekiti State, and Yusuf Adesina Soliu for Ondo State. Abdul-Rahman Olabode Salaudeen was named National Secretary, among several others who make up the new executive committee.
In his first remarks as President, Kazeem promised to elevate the society’s impact. He emphasized plans to use modern media tools to enhance the group’s outreach and initiatives, especially highlighting the importance of institutions like Summit University in Offa.
