In a statement issued by the SCSN’s Secretary General, Nafiu Baba-Ahmed, the late scholar was described as someone whose wisdom, humility, and generosity shaped many lives. Baba-Ahmed emphasized that the loss goes beyond the religious community, calling it a significant blow to the nation’s efforts toward moral guidance and unity.
He offered prayers for Sheikh Abdurrasheed, asking Allah to forgive him, show him mercy, and grant him a place in Jannatul Firdaus. He also prayed for strength for his family, students, and the Muslim Ummah to bear the loss.
