Eight individuals suspected of being involved in a series of cult-related killings around the Yaba College of Technology area in Lagos have been arrested by tactical operatives of the Lagos State Police Command.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, the operation was based on credible intelligence and carried out on April 29, 2025. The police recovered a Beretta pistol, four rounds of 9mm ammunition, one cartridge, two battle axes, and two cutlasses during the raid.
Those arrested include Adeyemo Abdulsamad (24), also known as Cloud; Afeez Enitan (28); Ayomide Daniel (30); Olamilekan Adeagbo (26), who goes by the alias Skinny; Mayor Samson (38); Basit Ishola (20); Quadri Sikiru (26); and Mariam Salihu (23), the only female among them.
Hundeyin confirmed that investigations are still ongoing to determine the extent of their involvement in cult-related crimes. He also assured the public that the suspects will face legal action as required by law.
