Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of former U.S. President Donald Trump, recently said he might run for president someday. This marks a shift from his earlier statements, where he denied any plans to seek the White House. During a panel discussion at the Bloomberg Qatar Economic Forum, Don Jr. was asked about his presidential ambitions. He laughed before acknowledging that while he had not seriously considered it, a future run could be possible.
“It’s an honor to be asked, and it’s great to see that some people support the idea,” he told the audience, some of whom applauded. Don Jr. continued, “You never know,” suggesting he was not ruling out a presidential bid.
At 47, Trump Jr. serves as an executive vice president at The Trump Organization, overseeing the family’s real estate empire. He also strongly advocates his father’s MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement and right-wing policies. Despite denying rumors in March that he was contemplating a 2028 presidential run, his recent comments have sparked speculation about his future political ambitions.
Trump Jr. acknowledged his father’s profound impact on the Republican Party, which many now identify as the “America First” or MAGA party. Although Donald Trump no longer holds an executive role in the business following his election in 2016, he retains ownership through a trust, with Don Jr. and his brother Eric running the company.
