Senate President Godswill Akpabio has stated that the increasing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office is a clear result of his proven leadership and accomplishments over the past two years. Akpabio made these remarks in a statement released on Thursday by his media aide, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh.
Marking the second anniversary of Tinubu’s administration, Akpabio extended congratulations to the president, commending his courage and dedication to the Renewed Hope Agenda. He pointed out that endorsements from governors, the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee, lawmakers, and other stakeholders are based on Tinubu’s record of good governance, economic reforms, infrastructure development, and efforts to promote national unity.
Akpabio highlighted several key successes, including the recovery of the Nigerian currency, improved security, and major infrastructure projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. He also praised the president’s efforts to foster inclusiveness by setting up development commissions across all regions of the country.
Regarding security, Akpabio described the government’s anti-insurgency actions as thorough and effective, noting significant progress made by the armed forces against bandits and terrorists.
He made it clear that the endorsements supporting Tinubu’s re-election are earned and not accidental, rooted in tangible results and a strong national vision. Akpabio assured that the Senate will continue to work closely with the executive branch to support ongoing reforms and progress. He concluded by reaffirming confidence in Tinubu’s leadership and looking forward to future achievements.
