Reality TV personality Tacha has stirred reactions online after posting a video on Instagram where she described many residents in the United Kingdom as “broke.” The Big Brother Naija star said her two-month stay in the UK opened her eyes to the real struggles people face there, especially immigrants.
She criticised the idea that everyone living abroad is rich, stating that many only manage to appear well-off through packaging and pretense. According to her, the poorest individuals she has encountered so far are people living in the UK.
Tacha urged Nigerians battling with inferiority complexes to understand that the grass isn’t always greener. She said that while many believe relocating to the UK guarantees a better life, the high cost of living and daily struggles tell a different story.
“It’s expensive as f$ck,” she added bluntly, pointing out that Nigerians back home may actually be living more comfortably than several UK residents.
Her advice to those planning to move: don’t make that decision based on the fantasy that life abroad is easier.
