Security Guard Caught Stealing Iron Rods at Delta Construction Site

A security guard has been arrested for stealing iron rods from a building site in Agbor, Delta. He blamed a friend and pleaded for forgiveness.

John Simon, who hails from Plateau State, has been arrested for stealing iron rods from a construction site in Agbor, Delta State. The Agbor Gha-Ihun vigilante group caught him over the weekend. Simon works as a security guard near the building site at Iyogo Road in Ogbesogan, Ime-Obi, Agbor.

During questioning, he admitted to the crime and confessed that he didn’t act alone. According to him, another security guard—also from Plateau and named John—was involved. However, the second suspect escaped arrest.

Simon regretted his actions and claimed his friend convinced him to steal. He asked the authorities for mercy.

Chief Sunday Ibude, head of the Agbor Gha-Ihun Vigilante, confirmed the arrest. He said the team is working around the clock to rid Agbor Kingdom of criminal activity and warned that anyone caught breaking the law will be punished.
