Roadblock Hosts Live DJ Draft for Africa’s Biggest Club Party

Roadblock introduces a live DJ draft to recruit top talent for Africa’s biggest club party, with DJ Kaywise and DJ YK Mule leading the first picks.

Roadblock, Africa’s biggest club party, has launched a live DJ selection event ahead of its second edition, adding a new layer of transparency and excitement to artist recruitment in Nigeria. The event, held at the Roadblock Studio in Lagos, was streamed live on Instagram and drew an in-person audience. DJ Kaywise and DJ YK Mule were the first two DJs picked to headline the upcoming show, themed Pleasure Dome: The Return of Saints and Sinners.

The draft began with a performance of the official Roadblock theme song by Cassandra Eiremiokhae and proceeded with the selection of DJs. Both artists confirmed their participation immediately after their names were called. Scheduled for October 4, 2025, at Balmoral Victoria Island, Lagos, the event promises high-energy performances, dramatic visuals, and a strong community spirit rooted in peace, love, unity, and respect.

Dr. Felix King, Roadblock’s Patron, explained that the draft was created to give all Nigerian DJs equal access to the platform. Organized by Oracle Experience and supported by Desperados beer from Nigerian Breweries Plc, Roadblock aims to unite lovers of dance music and nightlife under one roof. The first edition, held in April 2025, attracted over 3,000 partygoers and set a new standard for club-style festivals in Africa.
