Global pop star Justin Bieber took fans by surprise on Friday with the sudden release of his seventh studio album titled Swag. The 21-track album dropped just hours after mysterious billboards appeared in Reykjavik and Los Angeles, teasing the project. Bieber later confirmed the release on Instagram, sharing the album’s full tracklist along with images of the promotional posters.
Swag is Bieber’s first full-length album since Justice in 2021 and marks a new chapter in his music career. Def Jam Recordings described the album as deeply personal, shaped by Bieber’s experiences as a husband and his new role as a father. Songs such as “Dadz Love,” “Forgiveness,” “All I Can Take,” and “Walking Away” reflect themes of growth, reflection, and family.
The Canadian singer, who became a global sensation as a teenager, is known for chart-topping hits like “Baby,” “Sorry,” and “Stay” featuring The Kid Laroi. Over the years, Bieber has earned two Grammy Awards and numerous platinum and diamond certifications. He was discovered at a young age, mentored by Usher, and rose to fame under the management of Scooter Braun.
In a major business move, Bieber sold the rights to his music catalog in 2023 to British investment firm Hipgnosis. Though the exact deal amount was undisclosed, reports valued it at around $200 million.
Bieber’s return to music follows the birth of his first child, Jack Blues Bieber, with wife Hailey Bieber in August 2024. The new album is seen as a creative expression of this major life transition and has already sparked excitement among fans worldwide.
