Nigerian singer Qdot has opened up about surviving what he described as the most terrifying experience of his life after falling victim to an armed robbery in his home.

The artiste, whose real name is Qudus Fakoya Oluwadamilare, revealed that the incident happened at about 2 a.m. on September 28 while he was with his official DJ, DJ Faya.

According to Qdot, the armed men stormed his residence and held them at gunpoint, leaving him convinced that his life was about to end. He admitted that the ordeal left him traumatized and in shock, but he expressed immense gratitude for making it out alive.

Sharing the experience in a heartfelt Instagram post, the ‘Alagbe’ crooner said every valuable item he owned was taken, but the fact that his life was spared was something he would never take for granted.

“On the 28th of September, around 2:00 a.m., I was robbed at gunpoint in my own home alongside my official DJ. It was the most terrifying experience of my life. In that moment, I genuinely didn’t know if I would make it out alive,” he wrote.

He added that it was only by the grace and mercy of God that he survived the ordeal. Although the robbers carted away his belongings, Qdot said being alive meant more than anything they could have taken from him.

Qdot also acknowledged the overwhelming support he has received since the incident, thanking his friends, colleagues, and fans for their messages and calls. He described the love and encouragement as a source of strength for him as he began to heal.

“I want you all to know: I’m okay. I’m safe now. I’m surrounded by love and support as I begin the long road to healing from this nightmare. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the messages, calls, and outpouring of love. Your support means more than words can express. I love you all and I’ll be back, stronger and wiser,” he wrote.

The singer’s account has drawn empathy from his fans who continue to send prayers and goodwill messages, with many expressing relief that his life was spared despite the loss.
