The African Democratic Congress has called on President Bola Tinubu to create a transparent system for monitoring and auditing federal security expenditures across Nigeria.
Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, made this recommendation in response to the president’s recent visit to Plateau State and his address at the Church of Christ in Nations in Jos.
The opposition party further encouraged Tinubu to strengthen security vigilance through enhanced coordination between military and police forces, ensuring full participation from state and local security structures.
Additionally, the ADC challenged the president to commit to routine public updates regarding security situations and their resolutions.
The party highlighted ongoing security concerns affecting Plateau, Zamfara, Benue, Niger, Kaduna, and Kwara states.
The ADC emphasized the importance of direct presidential engagement with affected states, local government authorities, and communities, urging Tinubu to hear their experiences firsthand and solicit practical solutions from those living with these challenges.
