On April 13, 2025, the Federal Civil Service Commission publicly rejected misleading recruitment shortlists making rounds on social media and various online platforms. These lists, falsely claiming to notify candidates of their selection for positions from the recruitment that closed on March 17, 2025, were declared completely fabricated by the commission.
In a statement shared on X by Chairman Tunji Olaopa, the commission urged the public to ignore these deceptive posts, emphasizing that they did not originate from official sources. Olaopa further warned citizens to be cautious of fraudulent schemes demanding payments from alleged shortlisted applicants, clarifying that the commission never requests fees from candidates.
The commission promised that once the official shortlist is finalized, successful candidates will be directly notified, and the results will be shared through trusted media outlets and the commission’s website. The public is advised to stay alert and rely solely on verified channels for accurate recruitment information to avoid falling victim to scams.
