Daughter of ABC Transport Owner Claims Police Declared Her Wanted Without Notice

Ihuoma Julia Nneji, daughter of ABC Transport's owner, alleges police listed her as wanted without prior notice or invitation, amidst accusations of defamation and blackmail.

Ihuoma Julia Nneji, 34, the daughter of the ABC Transport owner, has raised concerns after being listed as a wanted person by the police without any prior notice or invitation. Over the weekend, she revealed that she had been included in a Special Police Gazette Bulletin issued by the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF NCCC) in Abuja. She was accused of criminal defamation, injurious falsehood, and cyberstalking.

In her statement, Nneji firmly denied the allegations, asserting that she has never defamed or blackmailed anyone on her verified social media accounts or elsewhere. She claimed instead that she had become the target of blackmail and threats from her former boyfriend, Henry Uzochukwu, the complainant in the case.

According to Nneji, the issue began in April 2024 when she met Uzochukwu and they began to get acquainted. The situation took a turn in August 2024 when she called off their planned wedding, which was set for November 2024. The cancellation, she explained, was due to concerns about Uzochukwu’s sexuality after she discovered evidence suggesting he is gay. Further investigation revealed that Uzochukwu had been engaged multiple times before, with previous fiancées leaving him for similar reasons.

Nneji expressed feelings of betrayal, stating that she had been misled by Uzochukwu’s lies. After the wedding was called off, she alleged that he began harassing her, threatening her life, and falsely accusing her of operating an Instagram account that spread rumors about him—an accusation she insisted was entirely unfounded.
