Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson have officially finalized their divorce, ending over three years of marriage. While both parties have agreed on major terms—like sharing 50-50 custody of their 4-year-old daughter, Juno, and waiving monthly spousal support—they’re still locked in a disagreement about where their daughter will attend school.
According to court filings, Jackson will pay $2,787 monthly in child support. Both agreed to use a mediator to coordinate custody arrangements. However, Turner-Smith claims Jackson is not following through on a legal order that granted her the final say in choosing their daughter’s school.
The actress stated they took part in a full-day mediation session in May 2024, which resolved temporary custody arrangements for the 2024–2025 academic year. Following that, a signed court order gave Turner-Smith the authority to make the final school decision. She said she selected a school that she believes offers a stable and diverse learning environment and informed Jackson of her plans in April—before the school had even accepted their daughter.
Despite efforts to keep communication open, Turner-Smith said Jackson objected after consulting with an education expert. She claims he told her he never planned to follow the court-approved agreement and later had his legal team challenge her decision. His objections reportedly focused on concerns about the school’s location and commute time.
Turner-Smith is now asking the court to award her $75,000 in legal fees related to the school dispute. The divorce itself was filed in 2023 in Los Angeles Superior Court, but this new disagreement over education shows that some issues between the former couple remain unresolved.
