Okpedeasiwe Godstime, a man from Delta State, is facing accusations of taking his 2-year-old child without the consent of the child’s mother. The claim was made by human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, via Instagram. According to Gwamnishu, Godstime deceived his baby mama into trusting him by promising to make a video with their child outside the house. However, once the mother was distracted, Godstime allegedly ran off with the child and her phone to prevent her from contacting anyone.
In a passionate appeal, Gwamnishu wrote on Instagram, urging Godstime to return the child to her mother. He said, “This evening, your baby mama was cooking in the kitchen when you told her you wanted to make a video with the baby outside. Instead, you took the child and fled, even stealing her phone to stop her from reaching anyone. This is not right.” Gwamnishu reminded Godstime that this was not the first time such an incident had occurred, as they had previously filed a petition against him. He continued by asking anyone with information about Godstime’s whereabouts to help convince him to return the child.
The mother, who is currently in distress, has been left without communication and is desperately seeking the safe return of her child.
