The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged Nigerians to embrace the message of Easter as a source of hope and renewal. In a statement released by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the party extended warm Easter greetings and encouraged citizens to hold on to the belief that better days are possible.
The PDP described Easter as a symbol of triumph, reminding Nigerians that God’s grace can overcome even the most difficult circumstances. The party called on everyone to reflect on the season’s deeper meaning, using it as an opportunity to renew faith, not just in spirituality but in the nation’s potential.
According to the statement, Nigeria is currently going through significant hardship, with insecurity, hunger, and economic difficulties affecting daily life. The PDP linked these issues to what it described as anti-people policies of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration and called for immediate changes.
Leaders across all levels and sectors were specifically urged to reflect on their responsibilities. The PDP encouraged them to adopt a mindset of service and draw lessons from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, who is remembered during Easter for his sacrifice and resurrection.
The party also stressed the importance of forgiveness, tolerance, and national unity, emphasizing that love and mutual respect, beyond tribe, religion, or political affiliation, are vital for Nigeria’s survival.
Ending on a note of encouragement, the PDP wished all Nigerians a joyful Easter and expressed hope for a future marked by peace, justice, and shared prosperity.
