Police Arrest 41 Over Kano DPO’s Murder, Including Key Suspects

Police arrest 41 suspects linked to the killing of Kano DPO CSP Baba Ali. Command promises justice and urges public support in ongoing investigation.

The Kano State Police Command has arrested 41 people in connection with the killing of CSP Baba Ali, the Divisional Police Officer of Rano Local Government Area. Among those in custody are the main suspects believed to have played a key role in the officer’s death.

This update was confirmed by the command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna, who described the incident as both senseless and deeply disturbing. He said the police moved quickly after the attack, launching a thorough investigation that led to the arrests.

According to SP Haruna, the killing sparked strong reactions from the public and within the police force. He stated that such a violent act is not just a loss to the police but a direct threat to peace and security in the state.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, assured residents that the command is fully committed to justice. He stressed that every person involved in the crime will be held accountable, and encouraged the public to remain calm and support the investigation.

The police also thanked the public for their support and messages of sympathy, urging continued cooperation in efforts to tackle criminal activity. They promised to stay focused on maintaining law and order across the state.
