The Presidency has rejected allegations made by former African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Chairman, Ralph Nwosu, who claimed he was offered three ministerial positions to abandon efforts to align his party with the opposition. Speaking on Wednesday night through a post on his verified X account, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, dismissed the statement as entirely false and without basis.
Bwala described the claim as a made-up story lacking any shred of credibility. He emphasized that only the President has the authority to decide who gets ministerial appointments, not any other official, regardless of their rank. He stated that if such an offer had truly been made, it would have come directly from President Tinubu.
Bwala also criticized Nwosu for failing to identify the officials allegedly involved in the offer. He argued that if Nwosu had the courage to make the claim publicly, he should also have been able to name those responsible. According to Bwala, the absence of these details further weakens the credibility of the accusation.
He concluded his response by ridiculing the opposition’s efforts to unite, describing them as disorganized and lacking seriousness.
