The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out a series of precise airstrikes that killed several terrorists and stopped their planned regrouping in Niger State. These strikes were part of Operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 1 and took place between June 24 and June 26.
According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, who is the Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF, the action was based on reliable intelligence. The terrorists had been linked to recent attacks and cattle thefts in Kakihun and Kumbashi communities.
Working closely with other security forces, the NAF identified the threats and responded quickly by launching multiple waves of air attacks. These strikes destroyed terrorist camps, logistics supplies, and disrupted their operations.
Ejodame said the mission highlights the Air Force’s readiness, skill, and strong coordination with ground troops and security partners. He added that NAF remains focused on safeguarding Nigerian lives and restoring peace in troubled areas.
